• Nuclear titles to catch by ear: 爸爸, 妈妈, 爷爷, 奶奶, 哥哥, 姐姐 (also 弟弟, 妹妹)
• Extended family: 叔叔, 阿姨, 姑姑, 舅舅, 堂弟, 表妹
• Tones on family words: 妈 mā vs 马 mǎ; 奶 nǎi is third; 哥 gē is first
• Name, age and job of a relative: 我叔叔叫卡茂。他今年四十岁。他是老师。
• Questions: 你有叔叔吗? 你的阿姨做什么工作? Active listening for who / link / name / job
